Suspended Stories by Dragan Bojadzievski

In a digital realm where surrealism collides with memory, Dragan Bojadzievski (@lnk__design), based in Belgrade, Serbia, composes dreamscapes that resist linear explanation.
Dream Walkers unfolds as a landscape of suspended staircases, warriors adorned with impossible blooms, and DNA twisting into masks of identity. Each image feels like a fragment retrieved from half-sleep, where meaning dissolves even as presence sharpens. His practice draws equally from fine art, photography, and AI experimentation, binding textures of paper and pigment to luminous screens. What emerges is not narrative but atmosphere, an invitation to linger between resolution and reverie. Muted palettes collide with sudden bursts of scarlet or violet, tactile surfaces pulse beside ethereal skies, and figures hover at the edge of both intimacy and estrangement. The series becomes less a sequence of images than a symbolic geography where the viewer’s memory is asked to complete the terrain.

“I build images as fragments of dream—meant not to explain, but to resonate softly in memory.”

Staircase, Warrior, and Mask: Symbols of Becoming

In “Dream Walkers,” staircases rise into drifting clouds, severed from ground yet carrying the weight of possibility. Each step is a threshold, a structure that refuses function yet holds meaning—passage without arrival, ascent without claim. They ask the viewer not where they lead but what it means to walk when walking itself becomes ritual. In “Sanctuary of Bloom,” the human form dissolves into coral-like textures, petal horns radiating from a skull as if bone had flowered. The portrait embodies metamorphosis: body as landscape, identity as symbiosis, growth as meditation. Flesh and fungi, horn and blossom, merge until recognition becomes reverence. In “Suspended Stories,” tiny homes rest on barren branches, their glowing windows casting warmth into a quiet expanse. Fragility becomes architecture, memory becomes shelter, and the act of looking becomes participation in holding what is always about to vanish.

Each of these works transforms contradiction into presence. The staircase is useless yet sacred, the warrior tender yet armored with flowers, the house fragile yet radiant. Together, they chart the paradox of dream: that what resists logic may still feel more real than daylight.

Dragan Bojadzievski – Surrealism as Symbolic Landscape

Bojadzievski’s practice thrives on tension—between the organic and the constructed, the intimate and the distant, the remembered and the imagined. His background in fine art and photography informs the tactile attention of each frame: cracked textures that recall canvas, tones that echo aged silver prints, gestures that link digital generation to physical trace. Yet his use of AI does not flatten into novelty; instead, it becomes an extension of surrealist philosophy, a way of treating imagination as language. He approaches the machine not as an oracle but as a companion in dream-work, asking it to render the unconscious visible without closing its ambiguity.

Dream Walkers distills this ethos. It refuses spectacle in favor of resonance, narrative in favor of fragment, clarity in favor of lingering. Each image is less a story than a symbol, a fragment of dream waiting to be remembered by someone else. By merging surreal iconography with contemporary tools, Bojadzievski crafts a landscape where time feels both ancient and immediate, where architecture becomes metaphor, and where beauty lies in strangeness. His project insists that the role of art is not to explain but to invite: to open thresholds, to trace the edge of memory, to let imagination become a symbolic terrain where becoming is never finished.
